In This Video You will see how one can do various exercises to Strengthen the ankle muscles. If you have had an ankle sprain you need to follow these instructions to gain the stability and the strength back. It is more likely to sprain an ankle that had and injury before. Most people don’t follow up with strengthening exercises after the pain has subsided , therefore the injured ankle stays weak and more prone to injury. This video takes you through a complete routine that will keep the ankle strong. I actually think that even if you have never had an ankle injury it is a good idea to do these exercises on a daily basis to keep your ankle injury free. I definitely recommend it for women wearing high heel, which make you more vulnerable to ankle injuries

I tried ice, and it just doesn’t seem to work for me. I have a brace and that helps a little, but it still really hurts in the evening. I have had x-rays and an MRI, and I might have a stress fracture. But we don’t know yet. I’ve tried Advil, but it doesn’t really work. Are there any remedies I can use?
You could try acupuncture or see a pain rehab physician.
Good luck.

I really have not been a distance running type person. I have also had a twisted ankel before and this is differnt it is on the inside part of the ankel and high past the ball.
I agree with the person who answered before me, you should have started out slower. Some solutions would be to check the quality of your shoes. Old shoes can cause ankle problems. If you go to a running store located near you they will tell you if your shoes are causing ankle problems. Another idea is to write out the alphabet with your foot each day after running. It builds ankles and shins. Finally, purchacing a balance board can help. Standing on one foot will increase your strength.
For now, ice your ankle lots! And make sure to stretch it before running.

I get random pains throughout my ankle, which as soon as I get rid of these, the pain moves up to my knee, and back and forth. The pains aren’t caused by physical exercise because I am physically fit and do not have a very active day. The pain continues throughout all of my knee, shin and ankle, and I was wondering if anybody knew how to get rid of this pain or what it is?
It is hard to say just what is the problem.Shin splints can hurt in this area.Folks can have arthritis but this is usually centered about a joint. If you cannot control the pain with an over the counter such as Aleve or Advil(always used exactly as on the label)you probably should have this checked out by your primary healthcare provider.Good luck!

A year ago, ankle arthritis was keeping Cheryl Bernard off her feet. “I had gotten to the point where I just really could not walk on that ankle at all,” says Cheryl. “By that time I was ready to try anything just to see if I could improve it.” That’s when Dr. Scott McMullen suggested ankle replacement surgery.

My lower back pain problem began three years back. It began with a slight uneasiness which erupted when I sat for long duration of time. I am unquestionably in the risk group that requires lower back pain treatment courtesy my weight and inactive lifestyle.
To add misery to my sorrows, I worked all day at the desk. My inner voice nagged that something was going very wrong. But I tried to ignore the warning sign until it was too late and back pain treatment became imperative for me.
To begin with, I acquired a mattress and started doing some basic exercises that I found online. I suppose that helped ease the pain a bit, as the mattress bore my back a little better and the exercises gave me some brief respite. The hitch is that I never had a disciplined regime in doing my exercises to make it a successful treatment, and so it was one find day that matters became worse.
Worse as in, my back gave way and I was laid up in bed for three straight days and incapable of going to office for three further days. After that I went to the chiropractor who helped me straighten out. But this gave me temporary reprieve. I was again plagued by the agonizing pain irrespective of the innumerable lower back pain treatments that I took.
In the end, I thought-enough is enough and resolved to do something about the lower back pain. I realized that the only effective treatment is a healthy lifestyle. I reminded myself of my uncle who was drastically overweight. He was weighed down by awful and constant health problems that refused to leave him, till the day he died. In particular, I did not want to end up like him.
So I raised my determination levels and started jogging. Initially it was very tough. I was barely able to run around a block. I used to pant and wheeze and had an aching body for days. But I never stopped and began to increase the distance to half a mile without a stop. I had never done it before. I developed a sprained ankle and a knee injury. But my lower back pain subsided.
Now I have decided that once the knee cap which the doctor had put, settles, I will pursue a new exercise routine for my lower back pain. I am going to try water aerobics. It looks safer than jogging on my knees. I am sure it would keep me fit and ward away my lower back pain forever.
Summary:
Anybody who is a couch potato and overweight is likely to suffer from a lower back pain. A visit to the chiropractor helps somewhat. However, unless you follow a strict exercise routine like jogging or water aerobics, and try to lead a healthy lifestyle, you will not be able to get rid of your lower back pain.

For over a year I"ve been having this ankle pain that sporadically when I’m walking there will be very sharp pain. Nothing shows on the x-ray. It always aches. I can’t figure out what is wrong with it because the x-ray is fine. Any suggestions?
There could be something going on with the nerves in that area such as being pinched or irritated (an example only).
The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation.
