when i run/walk i can tell theres something wrong with my foot. it feels as if my blood vessels and ligaments are in a twist.

I sprained my ankle very badly two years ago. It sucks.
Be really careful with it. Get a tensor bandage/wrap or a really good brace to give it lots of support. If it starts to hurt, stop running! Ice it every day and elevate it when you can. Coddle it as much as you can. Stretch it very gently by doing ankle rotations, but only go as much as you can. The idea is to increase circulation (without reinjuring your ankle)
Tell your doctor or physiotherapist. He might have more suggestions.

Believe me a sprained ankle has worse affects than a broken one. I was there over two years ago, It takes a very long time to get back to 100%. I found the hot tub is very theraputic, You have to be very patient and it will pass in time.

You can try applying heat, moist heat works best.
Sprains are so rough, as it’s not like a break that just needs to grow back together. With the tendons and ligaments, sprains sometimes never fully recover. Mine took a good year or more.
I got a sock like ace bandage that has open toes, you just slip it on and it gives your ankle extra support.
Good luck.
