Why have i not recovered from my ankle sprain?

i sprained my ankle about a year ago and still have a slight swell.
when i run/walk i can tell theres something wrong with my foot. it feels as if my blood vessels and ligaments are in a twist.

has anyone ever experienced or know someone whom has also experienced anything like this. also are there any cures/treatments etc?

How long will it take for me to completley recover from a broken fibula and ankle which required surgery?

I broke my fibula and dislocated and broke my ankle(same leg) last sunday. I had surgery on monday which consisted of a plate to repair the fibula and screws in the ankle. Im now home in a cast. I know im in a cast for about 6 weeks, but what im curious about is the healing process after the cast comes off?

Hate to be ther bearer of bad news but I broke mine 2yrs ago, and the total recovery time is approx 1 year, im serious, check with your GP

Pain below ankle about an inch towards the toes, what is it and how do I treat it?

The pain is about an inch from the ankle on the top of my foot, more towards the outside and about an inch past my ankle towards the toes. I was on my knees sitting on my feet and fell back and bent my foot backwards, at the time it didn’t hurt but as the day progressed and walked around it started to hurt. It only hurts when I wear shoes or walk on hard surfaces.

Sounds painful what you did.

I would think it is probably spained or torn ligaments. Get it checked out though because you could have fractured one of the bones in there. And if it is a torn ligament, the doctor needs to monitor that for proper healing or your foot will get messed up later!

How to wear ankle boots to school?

I have these pair of black ankle booties that I just bought and I wanted to wear them to school. Any suggestions on what to pair them with? Nothing skimpy, my school has a code and it’s winter. (I’ll be changing my shoes once I get inside the school). It’s snowing here!!

Wear them with skinny jeans or leggings. Either one looks really great and they cover you up.

mark. cosmetics has a pair of jean leggings that are really cute and in the ad they show the model wearing them with black booties, so it gives you an idea of what to wear. Just make sure if you wear leggings to wear a long shirt, tunic, or dress over them… having your butt exposed in tight leggings is tacky looking.

How painful is it walk on a sprained ankle hours after injuring it?

If you sprain your ankle and then stay off of it for about 6 hours and try to walk on it again. How painful should that be?

That definitely depends on the severity of the injury. If it is a mild injury (grade 1), you will probably be able to walk on with some discomfort hours after injury. Often times you continue on with your game or walk, or whatever you were doing prior to injury.

If it is a moderate injury (grade 2) you may be able to walk a bit after, but there will be definite discomfort, as the ligament is partially torn.

A severe injury (grade 3) you probably won’t be able to walk. The ligament is completely torn and the ankle may even feel unstable.

This is generally… always exceptions to this!
